Setting for Average Worker

Average Worker Characteristics

Indicate if the worker has at least average characteristics. SkillTRAN interprets "average" worker characteristics to be:

  • Strength = Medium
  • Aptitudes at least = 3 (Average)
  • GED levels at least = 3 (Average)

In TSS and PREPOST, choosing "at least average" raises any lower values to these settings. Above average values are not reduced.

TSS and PREPOST ask you to indicate your opinion about average

CCS always assumes at least average characteristics.

Impact: Raising under average values to at least average levels enables the selection of more occupations during searches. This expands the worker's range of choices. If a person has graduated (or nearly graduated) a regular high school program, it is reasonable to assume at least average aptitudes.
